A friend of mine and her family gave up their stressful city lives to set up this amazing Campsite. We went end of last year and it was SOOO fab so just posting a link for all camping fans who like a bit of comfort

Looks wonderful...wonder if I can do some arm pulling

MinkyBorage · 27/01/2009 21:48

That looks seriously fab. We've just been looking, but dh feels that the web site leaves you with more questions than answers. Think I might email them to ask for some better photos. Thanks, kit really is a serious contender for our summer hols.

Is this an advert?

MinkyBorage · 27/01/2009 22:17

don't care if it is, looks great

HaventSleptForAYear · 28/01/2009 12:15

nearly 200E a NIGHT! Or did I read that wrong?

It looks amazing but not at that price!

northlondondweller · 28/01/2009 21:55

Yes, it's a bit pricey but absolutely worth it. We stayed last year for 10 days and loved it - very cool and at the same time very child friendly. The owners have 2 kids so they know how to make a family feel at home. Great spot and the tents are amazing. Highly recommend it - and the 'Alistair Sawday' inspectors came and loved the place when we were there.... so it's on the up...

its not meant as an advert, was just trying to help out my friends ! It is on the pricey side but as NorthLondon says - absolutely worth it. Minky, they have so much kit and more and more. There is even a kids bedouin tent stacked full of toys etc etc and the natural swimming pool is amazing. Anyway, I am obviously biased but it's a great place.

they need more photos on the web site

MinkyBorage · 29/01/2009 11:35

I sent an email asking loads of questions, and received a very helpful one back. It ain't cheap, but it does look lovely, and we were initially looking at cottages in Tuscany, so in comparision, it's pretty reasonable. I think I'm sold, just need to find out what dh thinks.
Our normal holiday consists of looking for food. Are there lots of places to eat in the vicinity, food markets etc etc??
northlondondweller (I'm a susie in north london too!)

hi Minky/Susie, Sally and Stephen are sooo helpful and will really do ANYTHING to make your stay a lovely one. The highlight for me was the lovely breakfast they provideded in the outdoor kitchen every morning with warm pain au chocolat, croissants, jams, bread and fruit. SO YUMMY and so nice for it to be there waiting for us every morning ! Nearby there is a lovely town ( cant remember the name) but it had an amazing HUGE weekly market where we stocked up on yummy food. Gosh, am really jealous of you booking up. My LO's were only 1 and 3 when we went and they had a ball ! Enjoy !

backintheUK · 29/01/2009 12:03

mousemole · 29/01/2009 12:08

Used to work with Sally many many moons ago at MP and then we stayed friends...we were in Chicago for a couple of years so lost touch but always wondered if they had managed to get it set up.....

mousemole · 29/01/2009 12:13

you should go and visit them ! Small world but I suppose few people have the guts to get up and do what they did.
