unheated swimming pools in south of france - warm enough???

Lots of holiday houses we're looking at in Languedoc and Provence have unheated swimming pools. Will the pools be warm enough for a big girl's blouse in August?

How have you found unheated pools?
Thanks.

The pool in my parents villa (in the Languedoc) is unheated and last summer, the water was 30c + in August
HTH!

Oh, that sounds warm enough even for me!!!
Thank you for that!
We found the pool a bit cold in Charente last year and it was supposed to be heated.

I guess it depends on the size of the pool though and the depth. The bigger/deeper it is, the longer it takes to heat up...

We stayed at a site on the cote d'azur last year, and the pool there was unheated. I'm a big girl's blouse too, and I found that, once in, the water was fine - but I did have to walk in from the shallow end, rather than just leaping in, as dh and the boys did.

They wound me up about it, and I did jump in once, just to show them I wasn't a total wuss.

We're going back this year, and I'm looking forward to the pool, and to the Med as well - we went scuba diving, and swam off the back of the boat, and the water was warm, I kid you not!

Last time we stayed in Provence the pool was unheated...slightly painful to get in, but fab once in. Really refreshing. We swim in a lake in the Alps most summers...and it is great...and I am def a big girl's blouse!

We stayed in Audenge, just outside of Bordeaux, in September one year and there was an unheated pool. it was fine,a bit cool for the first couple of minutes then once you were in it was ok. To be honest it was quite nice as it was 37c so the pool was a welcome retreat from the never ending heat.

I'm feeling reassured that I'm not the only wimp out there!! Unheated pool it is then...

going on, be brave! It will certainly be a welcome respite from the heat in August.

remember though, the water feels colder the hotter the day!

so, have decided? Provence or Languedoc?????

We haven't decided yet, 4 adults choosing, so will have to put it to the vote. I'm a floating voter at the moment.
