Anyone been? Any tips on where to stay to bring the price for a family of 4 down a little?? Complex hotels are out of our price range, but if anyone knows a hotel/apartment block near the theme park, that would do nicely.

We stayed at the sol costa daurada hotel which is a ten minute walk from the park. Very reasonably priced when we went (April 08). Loved the park.

We stayed in the Belvedere hotel in Salou which is only about a 10 minute walk from the park, it was good value for money, we stayed half board and the food is really good.

When we went we booked the flight with Ryanair and the hotel through Thomson, but you could get a cheap package holiday to Salou.

We stayed at Sanguli resort in Salou. It's self catering mobile homes but was perfect for us as we wanted the freedom to do what we liked when we liked.

The site itself is fab, several pools to choose from, and great entertainment in the ampitheatre.
Beach over the road, and a short bus ride to the town centre. Bus ride to Port Aventura was about 20 min.

We booked with Thomson Alfresco, but you can book direct with the park or with Siesta I think.

We want to go back again.
