Anyone recommend a hotel in centre of strattford upon avon?

Hi staying on business next week and need a nice hotel - thinking about staying in centre of stratford- but is it safe and worth having a wander around at night esp when I am 7 1/2 months pregnant!!

Have you had a look at laterooms.com and Trip Advisor for reviews.
Don't know of any hotels in Stratford, but there is a very nice Travelodge right in the centre of Leamington Spa, which is very close by train. Hope this helps!

Yes perfectly safe in general, occasional bits of trouble when it's pub closing time but very rarely anything much.
Haven't stayed at any of the hotels myself but The Shakespeare is nice and olde worlde albeit expensive and in the older end of town. Opposite there is another olde worlde one called The Falcon.
Both are about 5 minutes from the river and the theatre (currently a big building site!)
At the other end of town (Stratford is only about 15 mins walk from end to end!) is The Stratford Victoria which is newer and near the station.
Sorry can't be more help but as I live not a million miles away never had much call for an hotel Hope you enjoy your visit.

we went to stratford last summer and stayed in the Legacy Falcon hotel which was good. Excellent location in the centre of the town, 2 mins from the river, RSC (like crescent says a building site!)and the shops.
The hotel is half old and half modern so you could probably request whichever type of room you would prefer.
Nice hotel, clean ans rooms were spacious in the new section. The hotel is also near a lot of restaurants for the evening. Stratfod is a lovely little town, very busy with tourists in the summer but didnt seem to be unsafe at all.
