Mumsnet please can you help me. I've spent the whole of DD's morning nap trying to buy some long stya travel insurance and it's driving me potty.

I've had so many problems with comparison websites because what we want isn't completely straighforward. On other individual sites I get quotes between £15 and £200, so I don't trust any of them.

SO can you recommend a good company for long stay travel insurance.

DH, DD and I are off to SPain for DH's work very soon. We are going for 6-9 months and we don't do any dangerous sports - except for DD cruising round the furniture!

Could you try your credit card company or bank? We have an annual policy through DH's bank account.

Thanks.! I tried. They only do up to 120 days.

Steam begins to pour from LaTrucha's ears...

I think you may need to contact an insurance broker then.

We went travelling for 6 months and got our insurance thru Travelbag I think. We had to make a claim and they were very good. Think Trailfinders would also do it as they are used to gap year travel etc. Good luck

Thanks. Off to check them out.
