Don't know anything about villas but if you fly to venice the loca bus service is so fab along the coast you don't need to hire a car! You could look for villas on the Lodo (beach area close to hert of venice). Coastline is fantastic - safe gently shelving sandy beaches and loads to do. peace and quiet if you want it too!
