Where is the sea warm not too far away? and when?

I've just found out that the sea can be warm in places other than Africa. But where, not too far away, and from what month?

Isn't it warm in the Channel Islands/Il de Re because of the gulf stream?

I've only experienced warm sea in Mexico!
