So where should we go on holiday this year?

We want to go away for 2 weeks in the school holidays - so late July or August. Will be me, DH, 4 yr old DS (very lively!) and DD who will be 9 mths old by August.

Somewhere sunny and family friendly with a bit of culture and a decent hotel with a kid's pool would be good. DH is against Greece / Greek islands or Spain. Could be persuaded to do France. I quite fancy Turkey.

Any recommendations? Happy to consider outside of Europe as long as not astronomically priced (and not Florida, as we go there regularly to visit family).

Why is he against greek islands/Spain?

For instance, Menorca is very nice and well organized, but tbh too overwhelmingly packed in August.

I've never been to turkey. But if you want info on Italy I can help.

Come to Playa Blanca Lanzarote, its a flat, quiet, relaxed and very child friendly resort. I live here so if you have any questions do ask!

Another vote for Playa Blanca in Lanzorote. at AngeP. You live there!
Lovely beaches and child friendly bars and restaurants. IIRC there's even an outdoor kids play centre though we never ventured in (too much else to do!)
We stayed in First Choice Sun Tropical because it was our first visit and we didn't know the region but wouldn't hesitate to go back to a villa or other hotel. If you want the reassurance of a holiday complex, Sun Tropical was good with lots of little pools just outside the apartments where you can keep an eye on the DCs as well as a larger pool with slides and great kids clubs. HTH

[jaamy makes note of AngeP for future queries of a very annoying nature! ]
