Are all the Greek islands mountainous? Disabled ds wants to go to Skopelo...

Ds wants to visit 'where they filmed Mamma Mia' (very glad he saw past the Abba songs to the wonderful scenery). Ds has cerebral palsy and difficulty in walking.
I've been looking at the Greek islands (which I have never visited) and they all seem very hilly, with steep climbs down to the (gorgeous) beaches, even steeper when climbing up I'm sure. Also, it seems unlikely we would be able to get the car close to the beaches.
Any views/suggestions? If we can't go to Skopelo where I understand much of the film was made, any suggestions for similar?

We go to Rhodes each year. It is very hilly except for Faliraki (nowhere near as bad as it is portrayed on the tv ) Many of the islands seem to be the same. There is a website called Real Travel that tells the truth about resorts. Why not google 'Greek islands' - Im sure there will be several travel websites that tell the truth, as opposed to the brochures in the travel agency.

I do hope your DS gets the chance to visit the Greek Islands - the people are so very friendly and great hosts.

Think about Skiathos, the neighbouring Island (you can get a ferry over to Skopelos - about an hour's journey if you want to visit). You will need a car to get about the island but (i) the harbour area in Skiathos is pretty flat and that is where the main restaurants are and (ii) you can get a car down to right by at least two of the best beaches (Koukounaries and Vromlimnos) both of which also have nice tavernas.

Have fun! Skiathos is lovely
