For a family with a 2 year old and an 8 month old. Is there much to do? Is it beautiful? Is it worth a quick visit but not to spend much time in? etc etc

DD went on a school trip & loved it. Pretty town, good beach, theme park nearby, chocolate factory!

They went for 4 days but said we should go as a family.

We visited it for a day trip a couple of years ago - lovely large wide beach which had a few things for kids like bouncy castle and slides as I recall. The centre is v nice with lots of shops and restaurants. Know that doesnt really answer you query re enough things to do tho! We had a week closeby and were lucky with the weather so did the whole beach thing and didnt really need to find other stuff to do.

As far as I can remember there's a huge beautiful sandy beach that stretches for miles. The town is lovely but full of expensive and designer shops.
I think lots of Parisiens have holiday homes there so it can be very quiet out of season.

We went last year and had a great time, even though it rained most of the time. Beach lovely and big, but sea was not very clean (puddles of foamy yellow water on beach!). But to the east of the town the beach is lovely with lots of sand dunes. Mini golf, water park, sand sculpture exhibition and bikes to hire. Bagatelle theme park a short drive away. A mini train goes around the town if it rains. Also nearby is a proper steam train that goes round the Somme to a lovely town (Chemin de Fer de la Somme). Also if it rains Nausica sea life centre in Bolougne is great. We had a lovely time in Le Touquet, but the food in the restaurants was REALLY expensive.
