Outing for first birthday in March.

Dd will be one in March and I'll obviously be doing a birthday tea with cake and family.

I thought it might be nice to have family day out for me, DP and DD specially for her birthday.

So what would be a good day out for a 12 month old (bearing in mind that it snowed on her 'birthday' last year)?

We are in Norfolk if that helps??

When DS1 was one we took him to the Zoo (we are in NW, so Chester), likewise with DS2.
Both their birthdays are in March btw.

Thankyou Lizzylou, did ds enjoy the zoo?

I did wonder about Banham Zoo but didn't know how 'alive' it would be IYKWIM.

Will a 12 month old appreciate a zoo??

Oh definitely, wrapped up warm.
Mine both did.
The good thing (and you won't truly appreciate this for a few more years!) is that it will be lovely and quiet as it isn't school holidays.

Sigh, those were the days!

My eldest has a March birthday, we did a farm - Park Farm in Snettisham in fact. Wrapped up warm but it went down very well.

I think farms rather than zoos at that age as I dont think they know the difference and they are much cheaper!

Ooh is Park Farm open in March? That sounds ideal and only about 10 miles away

It should be ... I should say I'm no longer in Norfolk (my family are though).

It's always been one of my favourite farms! The tractor ride is good if they're still running it.

We took DD to a childrens farm for her 1st birthday- she adored it!
