Brighton with toddler?

We are planning a weekend there in June, anyone been? I'm sure there are lots of family friendly things to do with the pier etc. Would love any recommendations, especially any hotels with playground, pool etc. Thanks!

I'm afraid I don't know about child friendly hotels but if the weather is good, there is a lovely play area with sand pit and paddling pool down on the sea front right by the old (whats left of it) pier.
