Is there anywhere (accommodation-wise) actually toddler friendly?

Just started thinking about holiday this year for me and DH and DD (21 mo). After a very fraught weekend in a hotel where she could reach all the light switches and plug sockets, as well as being able to unlock and open the external door I'm wondering if there is anywhere toddler-friendly where all these things have been taken into account?

Last year we stayed in a very cold caravan where we couldn't put the fire on for fear of her putting her fingers in it, and struggled to keep her away from the stove.

We'd like to go somewhere warm but I'm wondering if it will be more hassle than it's worth.

Higher Lank Farm in Cornwall is about as toddler friendly as it gets. We've been twice and it was heaven, especially as DS had the time of his life

There's a company called Tots to France that specialise in self catering hols for families with babies and young children. I think that they may have expanded now and also have holidays in other countries.

We have hired this villa for our summer holiday this year. the people who own it have a toddler so everything is taken care of for you.

Definitely find a villa and book direct with the owner so you can speak to them directly to check that its promised to be toddler and baby friendly. We rented a villa in Portugal through James villas as it was advertised as child friendly - when we arrived, the pool wasn't fenced, there were marble stairs everywhere, no socket covers, etc etc

Tots to France is very good!

Thanks for these suggestions. I will check them out.

I was just about to recommend www.totstotravel.co.uk but I see above their French site has been linked. I have a baby-toddler friendly villa with pool in Playa Blanca Lanzarote - but I dont know the rules on posting your own accommodation so wont risk it.
