yes, i am planning a longhaul break for us next year, just need to decide where!

can anyone suggest a luxury child friendly resort in the caribbean? no preferences as to where... room would have to be a suite as we have an infant and a toddler...

We have been to FDR in Jamaica - we loved it and went back again the following year.

It is Jamaican-run resort. It is fairly small so you can let the kids have the run of the place.

The rooms are all apartments, and you have the person who takes care of it for the whole day. When she is not spending the hour doing your room, she will look after your children for you. There are no children's clubs as such, so you can either look after them yourself or get the nanny to do it. It is a fantastic arrangement.

It is all-inclusive and food and drink plentiful. There is nightly entertainment too.

We went to Sunsail Antigua which although not 5* was great, we took DD and DS nearly 3 and 5 months and the childcare was fabulous, equally the rooms were fine, we had an apartment, the food was good, they do babysitting in the evenings so you can go out, spa, tennis, sailing.

we went to the sunset jamaica grande in jamaica with a 4 year old and 3 year old. Its all inclusive got about 4 pools right on the beach, kids club from 3yrs everyday, night entertainment, water tramps (which kids loved). DH wants to go back this year again

Sandals have family friendly resorts, called Sandals Beaches iirc. I think they have resorts in Jamiaca and Turks & Caicos
