Feb half term in Tenerife?

Hello, does anyone have any recommendations for a hotel/apartment/villa in Tenerife for Feb half term...not lager lout places? 2 adults, one 21 month old and one bun in big fat oven. Is it a good idea? Will it be warm enough for beaches? Is there another (warmer) destination you would recommend instead? I've never been to Tenerife before, but craving some winter sun, so any advice gratefully received. Thanks in anticipation.

We've been to Tenerife for the last 2 Febs and stayed at Sheraton La Caleta. Had a lovely time - few restaurants in walking distance, not remotely louty.
First time we went the weather was fantastic - really hot. Last year we had a couple of less great days but children swam in the pool every day (one is heated) and dh and ds did some snorkling in the sea. I guess it should be fine for sea/swimming but nothing is guaranteed.

is everything open at that time? surely it's off season?

Lots of stuff was open as it's a year round destination, but I admit to avoiding the British (and other) masses on holiday so am not really the best person to ask!!
