Help Me - West Country Hotels

My Dad gave me some dosh for Xmas and it is DHs birthday in January so i've decided to spend some of the money of a night in a hotel. I called my best friend and she said she would stay over and look after my kids - result!

Any recommendations of a hotel within an hour of Bristol, that is for 'grown ups'?

Hotel Barcelona in Exeter. Stayed there twice pre kids - central, trendy, decent restaurant plus very reasonable rates.
