Using babysitting services abroad.

Do you/would you use? We are staying in a fabulous hotel in Singapore and we'd love to have dinner one night without our 8 month old son. Hubby says it will be fine to use the hotel's service but I am not so sure.

Experiences please?

It would depend on the qualifications of the babysitter I think. Some hotels use UK trained NNEB nursery nurses, in which case I wouldn't have a problem!
