Travel Insurance at 34 weeks PG

Hi,

Does ANYONE know how to organise travel insurance for 34 weeks pregnant? I only want a little bit of sun somewhere warm... don't mind being limited to Europe if necessary, just don't know whether I need travel insurance or if I can actually get it.

Any feedback would be appreciated!

kirstyh, in the end last year I flew with insurance - but that insurance did NOT cover me for anything preg-related. I was ok of course, but it was a risk. (DH is a doctor so that helped give me confidence!)

You do need a doctor's note to present to your airline.

Good luck

For all out their that wish to travel up to 36 weeks pregnant and cant find travel insurance try WWW.medibroker.co.uk 08009801082. :-)

I just contacted medibroker and they were great. It's expensive, (mine's about £60 for a fortnight - so more than the flight!) but you can get full medical travel cover up to 36 weeks pg with them. downside is they won't cover your luggage... but can get ordinary cover with baggage for DH. Hurrah.

For travel insurance up to 36 weeks pregnant try IHI Danmark Travel Insurers on tel 004570232313. Danish company and answer the phone in Danish but speak perfect English. Insurnace for a weeks holiday in The Canaries cost £48 but cheaper than loosing my deposit!

Hi ladies.. I will be flying out to spain in my 32nd week and returning on my 33rd week..

I called egg insurance and they were abstoloutly FANTASTIC.

EGG are happy to provide cover for your pregnancy as long as the airline that you are flying with are happy to carry you under their own terms and conditions. We are flying out with RYAN AIR, who will accept us ladies with bumps up until the 36th week of an uncomplicated single pregnancy.

EGG have covered DH and i for up to 2 million pound of medical expenses and accomodation.

£3,000 cancellation costs of holiday due to pregnancy related and confirmed issues.

£2,000 lost or damaged luggage per person

Also.. if i were to go into prem labour while out there. they will also cover baby while away from home even though at time of purchase baby was not named on policy..

All of this for the princely sum of £32.24 for BOTH OF US!!! Had i been insuring myself only it would have been just over £16 ..

All in all easy.. affordable and mind settling.. im off to confirm holiday details and get us booked up!! we'r off to Alcudia YEH!!!!

Hope this helps and best wishes to all

Take care Ang91
