Going to Oxford without kiddies for the weekend.

Can anyone recommend a hotel?? Preferably close to the centre.

Take your pick.

Have a lovely time...Jamie Oliver's new restaurant was lovely.

Make sure you walk through Christchurch park, to the botanical gardens.

The covered market is fab...I grew up near Oxford and miss it so much sometimes.

There used to be (I am out of date) a great pub in Jericho, but I think it's all a bit twee there these days. They converted all the old factories into penthouses...

There's that old fashioned, posh hotel in Oxford town centre isn't there? Umm...I'll go and find it.

Or the Malmasion if you're splashing out? It used to be a prison.

The Old Bank, on the high street. Dh and I have just spent the weekend there for my 40th. It was lovely. Not cheap but imho for a special weekend worth every penny (this was our first child-free weekend in 11 years!!)
