Hello all
We are going to visit my parents who love near Lincoln at Christmas. We are doing the pantomine but wondered if anyone had any other recommendations in the area? TIA

Can't remember when the Xmas market is on, but prob before you arrive. Shopping generally is good, v good 2nd hand bookshop at the top of Steep Hill, and the cathedral also worth a visit . Not idea about child-friendly stuff though!

If the weather is nice you could walk at Whisby nature park or Hartsholme Park.
My dh and ds had a lovely visit to the castle. There will no doubt be nice things on at the cathedral.
My parents too live near Lincoln, so not an expert but have visited a few places.
We're up there this year too

Lincoln Collection Museum is meant to be good - think its free.

Rand Farm Park at Rand, just north of Lincoln.

Castle opposite the cathedral.

Wig and Mitre is a gorgeous pub restaurant on steep hill. They have high chairs and are child friendly. it is about as far removed from a chain pub as you can get. Rand Farm is good but wrap up warm! Doddington Hall sometimes have things on at Christmas so worth checking their website. The Castle is good - plenty of space in the grounds to run about. Also Uncle Henrys Farm Shop is great but about 1/2 hour drive north of Lincoln. Hope you have a lovely time
