FLying to australia non stop next week 3 and 1 year old

We are travelling to NZ at the end of this week with 10mth & 4y/o. We're planning to take Ipod, sticker/colouring books, hand & finger puppets, books, some wee things that my MIL has wrapped up in Xmas paper....some snacks, spare clothes to change into...
Someone also suggested that DH and I sit separately so we can do turn & turn about it the noisy section with all the children & then chill out in another part of the plane.
Hope this is of use - post if you think of anything else - that's what I was looking for when I came on MN this evening!
