New Year's Eve Fireworks in London - Where best to stand?

We are planning to take our DDs to see the fireworks in London on New Year's Eve and would appreciate advice on the best place to stand. We will be heading for Waterloo Station afterwards, so that might be a factor.

Well along that embankment near Waterloo you can see the fireworks. Word of warning the place is going to be packed out so get there very early.
