What's the best way to help baby's ears on a short 1 hour flight to London?

Are you bfing?

I bf mine at take off and landing.

And I give the older one a bottle to drink from at that point..

If you use a dummy then that can also help with ears.

I remember we were always given boiled sweets as kids.. Ah, those were the days..
