Has anyone been there at xmas time? I have been to other canaries but not this one and have heard it is much quiter. I hope there will still be lots of entertainment on tho.

Can anyone think of anything I will need to take with me for 16month old dd that I might not of thought of?

Also if you have been with a little one what type of pram/buggy did you take? Mine is like a Mclaren type but not a brand name, do you think that will be ok?

Something to keep her out of the wind.

That is where we will be staying and I would love to now your views if you have been there?

Objectivity - is that during the day you mean? is it really that windy? will we feel quite cold if its so windy? or is it still hot enough?

I'm not enirely sure as I have been in October and in Feb but not Dec, and at those times it was quite windy but pleasantly so as an adult sunbathing . I'm thinking about how the sand gets whipped up in the wind and how that would be for a LO iyswim?

Of course bear in mind that the wind makes the sun appear less 'damaging' as you don't feel skin burn so quickly.

We went in december last time and it was lovely. good advice about the wind tho= don't let it fool you into thinking the sun is not as damaging.
We were in costa caleta and it's very touristy but nice for a break. the sea life centre there is great (with sealions) and the beach is nice.

I am always on top of sun cream for dd so she will be fine. we will be staying in Costa De Antigua.

We go to Feut a lot as nice and breezy for dd (23 months) and were supposed to be going next weds but problem with flights so going to Lanzarote insted.

We use something called Graco pack and play olypus sport, it is like a playpen but really lightweight and quick to put up and it has a hood that can be pulled half or all over and is UV 50. Little one can play in there for half hour or so or sleep in the day.

Have not been where you are going, have taken maclaren buggy and three wheeler. It is very quiet island (nice) so great to relax, lots of books, stacking cups and a few noisy toys and yes still lots of suncream!!!!
