East Sussex - best rock pooling beaches?

we've just booked a long weekend to E. Sussex but don't know the area at all. Could you suggest a good beach for young families and are there any good days out. We will have a 4yr old, 3yr old 1 yr old and 4mnth old (two families - not all mine!)Any local knowledge would be appreciated as we don't want to waste time trying to find where to go once we get there. Thanks in anticipation.

Birling Gap is great and its just down the road from Drusillas - a cracking day out!

Actually, I think Cuckmere Haven is even closer to Drusillas

you can get a cheap fishing net for about £1 at the seafront
