Emirates question

Morning!

Has anyone flown longhaul with Emirates? Thinking about using them to Australia from Glasgow in March.

My questions?

Are they a good airline for an 8 month old?

They have bassinets but only up to 11kg. How old is an 11kg baby roughly!?
If you could would you just book a seat for baby?

Do I take a break in Dubia both ways (will def do one way or just get there? Never been to Dubai airport. I know Singapore has good transit facilities.

TIA

Have flown Emirates loads of times with kids, much better than BA (who I avoid flying with if at all possible). Dubai airport is very good. Can't remember when my dcs stopped fitting into bassinets (too long ago!) but I think I was still squeezing them in at 18 months.

Try and book bassinet ahead if possible but if not check in early but beware - this doesn't guarantee you'll get one - have done a few long haul flights with baby on knee!

Horrible long flight - break or no break. Good luck.
