Anywhere I can take a one year old (just walking) in london - somewhere that has facilities for them - soft play / one off music classes that you can drop in on etc ?

Are you near to Coram Fields? They have drop-in centre for under-5s in the morning, lots of toys to play with (and sandpit and playground outside if the weather's kind).

Website here, I would call to check on the drop-in times.

Further north, I think there is a soft play centre in Brent Cross though I've never been.

Whereabouts are you, and are you looking to get there by public transport or car?

Quite a few council run children's centres have drop ins you could take your child to, and also libraries in Camden, Islington and Haringey, for example, all have music drop ins. If you tell us where you are I'm sure people will have details of pay for sessions, but a lot of council and voluntary groups and activities are free or low cost, whereas the commercial ones can be £4 or £5.

Good point - I am in south london and already go to some organised classes etc - but am going into Central London to meet some friends with young babies under one - just for the afternoon - and wanted somewhere we could take them that they would enjoy.Baby soft play area or similar would do - but I don't know of any in town.
