Puerto Pollensa (like most of the rest of Majorca) is beautiful. Its been many years since we last went but we have had some fantastic holidays there.

The Majorcan people love children as well and you will be welcomed everywhere.

We went for the first time this year, and loved it. It can be expensive to eat out, but we never had a bad meal. Loads of great restaurants, can recommend El Posito and Guru.

It is a beautiful picturesque resort, not rowdy but plenty to do.

Enjoy. We cant wait to return!!!

Meant to say beach is great. Clean, shallow and warm. There is the beach at Pine Walk which is good for rock pools and catching little fish. Restaurants one side of the walk and beach the other.

Then the other side of the marina is South Beach which is lovely.

Oh I wish I was going! We started going there in 1987, and were last there 2 years ago. We owned an appt there nr the beach but sadly sold it when our trio came along, a big regret now. There is an excellent website
www.puertopollensa.com where you can find lovely apts to rent etc and lots and lots of info. El Posito is one of my favourite restaurants too. The son is now runing it, his father Vicente is an old friend of ours, he and his brother Manolo used to run a tapas bar, then both branched out on theri own, Manola ran Tangos, my all time favourite restaurant just off of the square. I hear though that Tangos has been pulled down and re building going on, and that Manolo is working at Rios. I have lots and lots of info and help if you need persuading, it is beautiful, friendly and I`d be back like a shot! Do stay central, I can tell you the best areas, near the beach and centre.

We were there this year and had a lovely time though some of the meals out that we had were not good value tbh. We stayed just behind Pine Walk and had meals out along there and in the square. Very nice and safe for children.

Puerto pollensa is ok but I dont think that the town itself is that great. We stayed along pine walk just out of the town which is absolutely gorgeous, very beautiful, lots of spanish people, lovely little bays and very quiet. We found the town itself verging on a bit english for our liking. Having said that the beaches are lovely and it's very safe. We had a car and explored the island which is wonderful and ate mostly in ALcudia old town and pollenca town as we weren't overly impressed with the food in puerto pollenca itself. We ate one good meal in puerto pollenca in a majorcan restaurant and also had a great meal in a restaurant on the road between puerto pollenca and alcudia which had a playground for the children.Despite being able to take or leave puerto pollenca itself we had the most wonderful holiday and it is perfect for families with young children
