Two Mums, one night, London, 3-4* - a much needed break - help required with finding hotel

Have searched the archives etc. but have yet to come up with the perfect hotel. My friend and I are rewarding ourselves for losing a stone and half each and want to book a night in London. We will be seeing a show but more importantly would like to find somewhere to stay that is fantastic but within price range (have been drooling at the 5* places previously mentioned in posts but are somewhat out of our price range). We can't afford to go until February so will be off season. We are looking at the new Gordon Ramsey hotel but would be interested in anyone else's recommendations. Obviously not romantic but comfy and a little luxurious would be lovely. If the price is right (and can increase the childcare cover) may even go for two nights.

Any ideas? Am so excited to be getting away - haven't done something like this in years!!!!

Hi Bernie,
I usually stay at the Novotel Euston, which is a 4 star, location not perfect, but nice rooms, and nice bathroom. I've always managed to get good rates there too. Also don't know if you've seen a thread for Devere hotels £10 per night, I think they're probably 3 star, and there's one in greenwich, not Central London, but Greenwich is nice. Also you'd have lots of extra money to enjoy a good night out!
