Malta in May

Going to Malta with my 9 year old daughter in May for 10 days. Has anyone been?
We're staying at the Maritim Antonine Hotel and Spa, half board.
Just a little concerned that 10 days is a bit too long. Travel agent said 7 days would be enough, but found a site online that, coz of flights, was cheaper for 10 days than 7 days and couldn't resist!
Does anyone know what the weather is like in May? We're hoping to use the outdoor pools!
Appreciate any reassurance...or otherwise!!

love malta in may, used to go every year at around that time from the age of 7 as grandparents had apartment there. 10 days will not be too long,. gozo trip , valletta, waterpark (quite low key but my ds loved it when he was 11). popeye village and melliah bay, blue lagoon and comino, mdina( silent city,) are just a few day trips you can do . you will be able to swim outside in may, and maltese people are lovely. just be aware that malta is not spain and so 4 star accomodation is more like 2-3 star etc. have a great time.
