Try Expedia.co.uk or TravelRepublic.co.uk I have used and booked holidays through these sites and had no problems.

teletext holidays is quite good for not choosing a destination

I want warm & to travel on 26th December for 1 week (back at work on the 5th)

I have a chest infection (& an ear infection & a urine infection) so I am feeling very grumpy/tired/miserable/etc

How lovely of your mum and dad, well, you're half way then, all you need now is the flight to somewhere hot. Thats the best medicine anyone could wish for.
