Where to eat near or in Harrods ?

We are going to see Santa at Harrods on Saturday and would like to have lunch somewhere nearby. Any suggestions ? Children are 9 and 5 and the youngest is fussy but likes pizza and pasta . I looked on the Harrods website and they have a family friendly restaurant-Planet Harrods I think, which looked quite good but expensive.Anyone been there ? Worth it ?

Thanks.

How about the Chicago Rib Shack - it's just around the corner.

Harrods has a kids cafe style thing near the children's clothing dept which is good. Cartoons on tv's, high chairs etc, very child friendly

Harrods have a pizza oven type 'restaurant', in the food hall, the bit near the fresh bread. They have bar stools round a counter not tables though, and it is part of the food hall, so can be noisy and tourists can watch you while you eat. My Italian friend really rates these pizza's.

The planet harrods cafe. Is good in that it is near to the toy section. But self service and you can have that issue of trying to find an empty table. The food choice is norrow and more of a drink and snack place rather than lunch.

The lovely Italian, mum 1369, refers to us on Hans Road, the food halls side of Harrods, before you get to Barclays Bank. it is good a big range of food, including pizza, pasta. Lots of tables and fast service (a;though I only eat there Mon- Fri).

Remember you have to spend a £1.00 to use the loo in Harrods.
