How do I travel with a baby on a coach?

Ds is 4.5 months. Doesn't seem right to sit and hold him. Do I put him in his car seat next to me? Help!!!

car seat would be good but you might then have to pay for another seat. I haven't been on a coach with baby but on the train I have done the car seat thing, booking an extra seat. I'm not sure it actually makes it much safer but it is certainly more convenient.

With a coach, I suspect I'd do the car seat thing too - have to admit with trains all I've ever done is sling them on my lap.
