Disneyland for New Year - Help please!

I'm planning on taking my little 6 yr old girl on a surprise christmas present to Disneyland for New Year. The last couple of years have been a bit crappy really and I want to give her a Christmas to remember.

Just wondered if anyone had any advice on hotels and such? I've read reviews and such and I want to know if it's worth going for the 'disneyland castle' hotel or if going for one of the other hotels is just as good?

Also, going on my own with my little girl - any tips?!

Thanks

I stayed in the Dream Castle which is a little way out of the parks but they have free shuttle buses that take about 5 minutes to get there.

I booked my accommodation, park tickets and eurostar separately. We used Expedia for the accommodation.

My friend found it cheaper to book directly with Disney.

I think you just need to look around and compare. There are loads of Disney threads on here if you have look. Also if you google there are Disneyland Paris forums with loads of tips

hi i'm going to disney for the new year aswell !! We're staying at the Newport Bay hotel this time but we've stayed at the new york and the santa fe aswell and I would definately recommend the dearer hotels as they are closer to the park ( newport is only a short walk ) and have the characters visting in the evenings aswell.

You will have a wonderful time I'm sure but don't leave it much longer as we had dfficulty finding a reservation when we booked 4 weeks ago.
