URGENT - db has offered to take ds1 (5) away - TOMORROW - need ideas...

Right, I need ideas please. My db is coming late tomorrow morning to take ds1 off our hands until roughly Sunday night. He's decided to take him away but we're both stumped for idea's. Obviously it involves an overnight stay so would be good to find a place which is good for the whole weekend. He's coming from Gosport and I'm in Berkshire but he's happy to travel, just not keen on having ds1 in the car for TOO long otherwise the time will be wasted.

The Lookout Discovery Centre on Saturday

followed by dinner at McDonalds

Stay at Bracknell travel lodge

Then Sunday head to Coral Reef - Bracknell's Water World,

Followed by lunch at Frankie and Bennies

Legoland?

Twims, I know all of those places and that sounds like a good plan. Ds1 had mentioned Coral Reef as it's where his uncle takes him sometimes but I said they were going away. Suppose I can suggest it in case he doesn't think it's too close

Afraid Legoland is now closed. It's open just tomorrow but not for basic cardholders

Thinking about it, I reckon this is too close to home as we live so near to these places that it would seem odd paying out for a travel lodge. I like the planning of it though so has anyone got any other ideas for something like this (i.e. with a water park) but in a different area?

Thanks again and sorry I didn't come back. My brother decided to take him to our sister's and then the cousins can all do things together, it's cheaper than travel lodge plus they have the beach right near them. Sounds like all happy, certainly wasn't upset when he left which is good

Right, now to get on with my massive list of tasks and make the most of the peace.
