Preferably somewhere a bit warm e.g. south of Spain or maybe Italy. We'd like to stay in a cottage or self-catering anyway. Not a beach holiday, but somewhere near an airport.

Sicily. Syracuse is gorgeous. Will be warm during the day, but it still gets dark very early.

I was thinking of Sicily actually. Do you think it is pretty child-friendly?

I think that Syracuse is full of children and that you will be able to push a buggy round quite easily. And food will be very easy - no problem at all taking children to restaurants there.

Sounds great! Do you have any recommendations for places to stay there?

No - in that where I stayed was not baby friendly. But there is a modernish sort of 3 or 4 hotel right in the town centre - take a look at tripadvisor and I'm sure you'll find it.

Cheers! Will have a look!
