Suddenly feel a bit panicky having just booked the flights. I know you dont have to sterilize so madly with 8 monther. I think its more the flight and lack of trusted car seat that worries me.Also packing for many different weather states. Help!!!

take your own car seat

if you are bottle feeding allow plenty of space for formula - all the brands are different over there

like TheBlonde said, either take your own car seat or buy one as soon as you get there. we go regularly and take our car seat now as 2 years ago we were charged more to hire a car seat for 2 weeks than it would have cost to buy one. We've now bought a fabulous one for travel called a 'sit'nstroll' which is actually made in the USA but we managed to track one down in the Middle East. A few friends had them and recommended it and it is brilliant. It has wheels which pull out from underneath and a handle which pulls out from the top so you can use it as a buggy whilst at airports and in between transfers etc. Assuming you won't have purchased a seat on the plane for your little one and baby will be on your lap, you probably won't be able to take it on board but the airlines should allow you to keep it until the steps of the plane then put it in the hold. Worth looking into.
The flight will be fine, just take enough formula and bear in mind the stupid security rules. Might be worth checking in advance that the departure lounge has a boots that sells cartons of formula or else just take some spare empty bottles and a bag with some formula in so you can make it up as you need it. Have a fabulous time

Yes, take your own carseat. I have a sit and stroll and hate it (it was given to me and I have barely used it because I don't like pushing it - also, it is too wide for several airline seats - check seatguru if you are planning on using a car seat on a plane to check seat width) but it would probably be useful for you.

Where will you be going? What will you be doing? I bet it'll be loads of fun!

Empty water bottles on planes make great baby toys.

superbunny, if you don't use the sit n stroll you should sell it on ebay. We looked for ages for one in the UK and couldn't find one and were going to wait til we got to the States but luckily found one in Saudi. I think they are fab!

Oh, good idea. I will hav to get rid of it at some point. WIll ebay or Craigslist - thanks!
