cheap central hotel Venice?

We are going to be in Venice for 2 or 3 nights in July, dh, myself and 5yr old. Anyone know of any nice hotels, must be central to all the sights, and not too outrageously priced?

Seriously, hope you find what you're looking for- I'll be keeping an eye on this thread, as it's time I went back to Venice
