thanks christiana but DD is VERY fussy, was hoping more for somewhere which might do scrambled eggs on toast or the like (will bear it in mind when she grows out of her fussy stage

I recommend the Lord Albert Pub on Royal College Street in Camden. Very friendly and they have a dining room upstairs or bar food downstairs. They are very sweet with kids and will cook stuff for them without salt etc if you ask.

Providores lovely and staff are child friendly - not sure about the rest of the customers!!

It would be safer I think to go for Giraffe around the corner in Blandford St which is more geared to children - ballons, high chairs, less challenging menu. Food not as great IMO and a bit noisy, but pretty good overall.

Also, most of the Carluccio's chain are great for kids. Childrens' menu very reasonably priced and all the food is good. Not sure if they do brunch - have only had lunch there.
