We (me, DH, twins) are due to fly to Singapore on Thursday evening. My son came out with chicken pox last weekend. I have spoken to my GP and she is sure he'll be medically fit to travel ie not contagious and we're seeing her to have that confirmed this week. I've also spoken to Singapore Airlines and he will meet their criteria for flying. (I would obviously never fly if he was still contagious). However, I'm still worried that even with a GP letter and meeting the airlines requirements they may turn us away as he looks awful. Anyone any experience of this?

We're travelling on to NZ where I have a job interview so we don't have much flexibility.

I think sitting in the house all w/e while DH goes to a wedding & watching Thomas the Tank Engine on a loop is fuelling my anxiety!!

Yours counting down the hours until wine o'clock.

I think as long as you have a fit to fly form he'll be fine. Have a wonderful time. I'm not jealous at all!

Thank you! Maybe I'm being paranoid (an overdose of CBeebies can do that to you). Someone just said to me that passengers on the plane may be awkward about it, especially because they routinely vaccinate against the pox in Singapore. And I wasn't really looking forward to the flight anyway...do you think a polo neck and halloween mask would be too obvious!
