Hi MDS, Thanks for your advice, we are going over Christmas, I had read about the Griffith Park Centre in one of the tourist books and thought it sounded good (especially if only 8 dollars )
we are staying on Hermosa Beach in a beach house and will want to go to Disney which is only 1/2 hour away apparently - do you know if are we best off buying the disney tickets when we are there...?

I don't care what the weather will be like, I'm far too busy being

I would buy Disney tix when I'm there (was easy enough, and no more expensive than online).
Try very hard to go to Disneyland when schools are back in session, will be a nightmare if you go in the Calif. school hols.
There was ?is a thing at Disneyland about booking your place in the line for each ride, so you don't have to wait in person, look into it if you do end up going on a busy day.
It can be colder than you expect at night (dry cold is very cold), whatever coats/layers you need to wander around London in daytime would be right.
