I've been and it was excellent! Its part of Drayton Manor Park, which was also really good, lovely rides for children. Its in Staffordshire just off the A5.

Don't know how far from London.

You can get hotel deals when you book your tickets. We had 2 days at the theme park (Drayton Manor, Thomas Land, and the little zoo, and an over night stay B&B in a local hotel for £100. There are all the chain hotels, from Premier Lodge to the Radisson.

Wasn't v busy when we went in the summer. I'd take a chance, it is worth it. All the rides were ace.
