Oh Bugger, sorry you didn't like Duinrell

nooOOOoonki · 20/10/2008 16:51

Croatia is lovely apparently and cheapish

LilRedWGoreandguts · 20/10/2008 16:52

Sofitel Hotel, Taba Heights, Egypt is fantastic. Beetroot recommended it to us and we'll definitely return. We booked with First Choice.

Friends of ours have gone to Slovenia for the last few years and say it's wonderful!

The cost of the flights was why we didn't go Custy. The accommodation is really reasonable, I thought, but we just couldn't afford the flights.

Tortington · 20/10/2008 18:45

oh but it looks sooooooooo wonderful
i also asked if they had another place incase i ask more family to come along - and they have a 6 peep villa next door.

omg it does look lovely.

does any one know if its expensive when you get there?

Seriously - look www.sofitel.com/gb/hotel-3011-sofitel-taba-heights/index.shtml. The best recommendation I've had from MN and only a five hour flight.

We paid circa £1,200 for two adults and an infant, all inclusinve for two weeks.

Littlefish · 20/10/2008 20:06

Are you talking about Mauritius Custy - is it there that has the 6 person villa next door?

No idea about prices when you get there, sorry. The currency is Euros so the exchange rate is not great at the moment.

When we were looking at that villa, we decided to go to Antigua in the end as it was a US dollar currency place, so we got more for our money. Flights were't too bad either.

We stayed here. It was a 10 minute walk to a beautiful beach.

Tortington · 20/10/2008 22:12

they both look truly stunning - but a little too sophisticated for this holiday.

god am hooked on the mautitous one. i am in love.dh will just not go for it. arrgh

please any more sugestions , please i will consider almost anything

I'm going here in February First Choice Holiday Village Red Sea and I CAN'T WAIT!!!! It looks fabulous, have a look at the pics and reviews.

Littlefish · 21/10/2008 08:52

If you want cheap as chips when you get there, then a villa somewhere might work for you. Obviously it's more work for whoever is cooking etc. but at least you can control how often you eat out etc.

Villas with pools in croatia. There aren't any prices here, but the villas look gorgeous.

Alternatively, would you consider all inclusive? That way, you would have very few outlays once you were there.

childrenofthecornsilk · 21/10/2008 17:15

LilRedWGoreandguts - I fancy that. Did you book the hotel and then the flights or go through a travel agent?
