Maxi Cosi safety issue

Hi

We accidentally pulled off the foam head rest on one side our of DD's maxi cosi priori car seat, when removing the outer cover for washing (after a rather revolting car sickness episode). We've glued it together seamlessly, but have no idea whether the foam is just for comfort or for safety too, and if it's for safety do we need to chuck out the seat or would our mending efforts be enough? The foam is in exactly the same position is was before and looks just as secure as it was.

My feeling is if in doubt, get a new one.

Would you agree? An expensive vomit...

Thanks.

you are correct. The safety has been compromised- the foam could rip off at the same point in an accident.
Sorry it's not better news.

Hi, I know its probably too late, but i have just seen your post, could you possibly get a new cover to put on the car seat?

As I say you probably have already bought a new one.
