We did a Siblu holiday in France this year and are thinking of going to Vilanova park in Spain next year (esp as its not far from Barcelona and Sitges). A lot of companies like Eurocamp and Keycamp etc use the site so wondered if anyone had been and what their exp was - which comp was best or should we go thru someone else entirely?. We plan to fly (the drive thru France last year put us off) and then hire a car onarrival. We will be with our 3yr and 1yr old DS's and want a 3 bed caravan with A/C! TIA

Yes, we were there in the summer. We went with Eurocamp, and the reps were ace (a mature couple, tho not sure if they will be the same next year). Think i wrote about it on another thread, will see if I can find it...

What kind of things did you do Lilo? Did you have littlies with you or bigger kids? Ooooh, next June seems like a looooong way off!

Hi, can't find the other thread, have a feeling that it was an email I sent to a pal. Our DCs are older, so different requirements to you. Definitely hire a car. We had days out to Tarragona, Sitges, Barcelona x2 and a waterpark. Great beaches round and about. Vilanova itself not brilliant, but worth a wander around. Vilanova on train line so we parked at the station (free) and took train into Barcelona. Cheaper and easier than driving and parking. there is a bus from just outside the campsite down into the town if you chose not to hire a car. Lidl and hypermarket in easy driving distance from the campsite and the campsite shop was well stocked and not ridiculously expensive. Several pools, including a kiddie pool. Mini disco in the evening and some children's entertainment. Negatives were: not enough sunbeds by the pool, you need to get there when it opens - literally - to get one; playground very small for the size of the park; eating facilities not brilliant and a bit pricey - we cooked/BBQ'd most of the time. The evening entertainment is pretty good but perhaps too late for your little ones. Hope that helps. If you have any specific questions, best ask soon cos I'll have forgotten by next year! We had a fab holiday, hope you do too.

Thanks lilo. We will be driving anyway (maybe we are mad!) so will have the car, but had decided that we would train it into Barcelona on the days we would go. Good to know about the sunbeds - we'll be going in early June so hopefully it won't be too busy then anyway. Were there any parasols? Is there any shade at all near the pool?

No parasols, but there are some trees and shady near the walls, so you can get out of the sun if you need to.
