Hi
Where should we go?

  • we've two children (4 & 6)
  • need self catering (child has severe nut allergy) but would be nice if attached to hotel facilities - maybe even with childcare!
  • want sun and beach
  • only have 7 days to do it in so Carribean is out really.
any ideas anyone? thanks! t

Hi we did that last year with DD (4) and DS(1). Spoke to a few travel agents and they said the only place to guarantee sun and beach was Canaries. Malta / Madiera ok, anywhere else could be much colder.
We went to Tenerife and had a fab time. Booked a privately owned apartment on a complex next to a beach. The children loved it. It was t-shirt and shorts weather, but needed jackets at night. DS has red hair so it was great as it wasn't so hot that we needed to worry about him burning.
We have always gone skiing in Feb half term so it was a huge culture shock, but really good to be going somewhere hot when it was so wet here. Enjoyed it so much we are doing the same this Feb half term, but Lanzarote this yime
