Villa Holiday in Sardinia or Cyprus - Any suggestions please ?

We have never been to either and are considering trying one of these destinations next year so would welcome any suggestions.

There will be two couples with 2 boys (age 5 & 10) and one girl (age 5)

Criteria :

1. Villa with lovely pool
2. Not out in the middle of nowhere but equally nowhere wild and really noisy.

1. Not extortionate in terms of price

tillyboo - have you tried the aphrodite hills villas near paphos, you get the nice villa type accommodation yet in a resort location therefore there is a kids club etc. they do recommend car hire at the property though.
