Where else - other than the Med - is nice over Summer?

Trying to work out where to go this Summer - don't mind fairly long haul if needs be - but where else, other than Europe, is the weather good that's a good place to go with a five year old boy?

Bali is lovely during May - August. Not so steamy hot and a 5 yr old boy would be made very welcome. My favourite places are Ubud, Lovina and Nusa Dua.

Slovenia. Close, cheap (Easyjet) lots of mountains, lakes, fantastic caves and generally great weather. Close to Italy and Austria so useful for the not so adventurous eater. We loved it.

Austria is great (I'm biased though as I live there). Easy cheap access with ryanair. Have a look at www.farmholidays.com and go for the link that mentions childrens holidays. You can go for self catering, B&B or half board. Choose a farm with 4 "flowers" (stars) and you won't be disappointed. If you have a little more to spend look at www.kinderhotels.com they all specialise in providing childrens activities etc.
