Christmas already - where is the nearest hot place?

Scary, I know, but we have vowed to get away from family and rain next Christmas. The Caribbean is out of our budge so the question is - where is the nearest place to UK that is likely to have warm sun at Christmas, and is also nice to visit with the family? Thanks girls.

Would have thought the Canaries. It doesn't make much sense to book so far ahead to the Middle East/Eastern Med in the current situation. Sounds like Florida might be too pricey/far so its looking like the Canaries.
