Help me find the PERFECT villa for next summer... I have very specific requirements.

Have you stayed somewhere with the follow spec recently. If so where was it??? I am desperate for the perfect place next summer having had some experience of places that were not perfect...

What I want:
Country: Anywhere in Europe where it will still be warm in mid-Sept
Location: Near (or in) a smallish town or village with nice places to eat. Nearthe sea or a lake.
Other features of the area: Not too touristy, no high rise hotels, cultural sites nearby, within 3 hours of an airport with London connections.
Villa: at least three beds; preferably a period property or at least a place with character; large, light and airy; a pool that is fenced off, no dangerous drops for kids, NO CHINTZ.
Price: pretty flexible.

Any suggestions
At least 3 bedrooms
